Do you feel lucky?
So what is your answer to that? You’re probably thinking about that line in that movie when I say that, but I mean in general do you feel lucky? Some people are so lucky that great things happen to them all the time. It just seems to be a continual process. Others not so lucky.
Your own luck gets created by all the activities around you, big and small, that lead you to your desired outcomes. If you continue performing these activities you know that sooner or later you are going to get what appears to get lucky. The law of averages and odds are in your favor when you go for the numbers. Sometimes though luck just shows up on your doorstep. It looks like no reason at all however when you take the time to look back you can see that it was something you maybe started to work on and got pretty excited about. Then you left it to the side when something else came up.
All The Little Things Add Up To Create Your Own Luck
Several months later this idea or goal you had just surfaced and showed up. When you focus on a goal long enough, sometimes parts of a goal shows up just to remind you that your thinking is in alignment and your brain is working towards that goal. It’s all about your clarity of your goal.
So now what do you think? Do you feel lucky? If you do, what is it now that you are focusing on. When I am intently focused on a certain goal I like to have images and photos of it all around me. We tend to think in pictures so it is a really great exercise to continuously looking at photos of your outcomes you wish for. If you carry it around with you it gets even better. Your conversations change a lot because you are continuously thinking about your goal. Some people even like to grab a stretch cord and hang their goal on their wrist. Big enough that you can’t ignore it and nor can anyone else. So you end up having conversations about it. That gives me chills just talking about it. Because, all of a sudden that is your main goal. You keep focusing on it. You put some life in it and then it starts to get exciting.
You think about it continuously. All day long as a matter of fact.
Just Step Into The Water And Begin
You even take it to sleep with you. It wakes you up in the middle of the night when you turn over because all of a sudden you feel this foreign object on your arm. You wake up and feel it and then go “oh ya, thats my vacation goal for 2 weeks of sunshine in the caribbean’ Then you fade back to sleep with a smile on your face. Wouldn’t that be great if it all comes together? It will too if you keep focusing on it and the activities you need to get there.
For some, certain goals, sound simple and easy and they just do the activities and arrive at their goal. For others its a struggle. It may be because of their struggle and current situation and they just have to dig a little deeper. However it is still attainable.
Taking Action Makes You Feel Instead of Trying to Feel Before You Take Action
On bigger goals you have to really adjust your mindset and get into it deeper and deeper. I mean how bad do you want it?
Sometimes when I would have conversations with my father, I would start complaining or making excuses of why it just wasn’t working. Why I just couldn’t get there. All the things that were happening that just kept stopping me from getting to my goal. He would then say to me. ‘ I guess you must like it’. Then I would say ‘What do you mean you guess I must like it’? He said ‘I guess you must like it where you are’ then there would be the silence so I could think about what he just said. It was true to. I had no right complaining or making excuses or I would be more advanced in my goal. Then I wouldn’t be complaining right? He used to always catch me on that.
Who You Hang Around With Determines Your Elevation
Or if you are watching a sports athlete and he is just not operating up to his standards. We don’t know what kind of day he or she had and perhaps its just temporary the position they are in but somehow they figure it out and move themselves forward, today, tomorrow or next month because they just know they can perform better. Same with ourselves, not matter what we can always perform better. Always.
No matter how we look at it, we can always improve.
Our mind develops faster too when we are watching people achieving the goal we are after. It sees the image of people succeeding and basically says, ‘this is how you do it’. Our mind goes to work on showing us how we can accomplish this too. If you have you picture and vision in your mind, your mind helps to lay out a pattern for you to accomplish the pathway to get there.
So how about now? Do you feel lucky?
It really gets to be fun after a while. Testing yourself and pushing yourself to really move forward. As you do this you feel better and better about yourself. Those winning feelings stay with you. As they get emblazened into your neuropathways, you can recall them at anytime to help you on new goals.
Even right now, especially if you are reading this in the morning, take a moment and make a list of all the things you are grateful for in your life. It could be small things or big things. Just make a list of 10 things that you are grateful for. As you do this, you can feel yourself start to smile and feel even better. The happiness factor kicks in and you can feel the blood in your body circulating and the endorphine rush through your body, as you think of wonderful and beautiful moments in your life and gratefulness does its duty. Just the tiniest things can create feelings of success, joy, fun, passion, excitement, winning. It sets the tone for the day as you continue building and achieving new goals.
So….Do you feel lucky? Well do ya?
Tell my what you want and I’ll help you get it.
